The Moon Holds All Her Secrets

My idea for this painting (and two that followed) was to explore the imaginary relationship between a woman and the moon . The title was inspired by J.M. Wonderland's quote, "The sun watches what I do, but the moon knows all my secrets." I imagined the girl and the moon staying awake into the wee hours of the morning, sharing stories and secrets, just as best friends might do at a slumber party or an overnight.
