I thought I had finished this piece but decided to add her glasses at the last minute. I love painting them on my “subjects.” It might be because I’m an eyewear collector. This girl clearly gets her message across without needing words. I was told (just recently) that I do that too. P.S. The tiny tassel on her blouse was taken from my box of scraps and sewn to this canvas.
