Girl With Chartreuse Eyes​

This is a painting that I started without a plan or idea. I just needed to paint. She took many many many turns, but the things that remained constant were her chartreuse eyes. I love painting eyes. It is my favorite part of a portrait and sets the tone for the rest of the piece. She recently sold to a very special man, Mort Persky, who has used an image of her for the front cover of his book of love poems titled, Your Eyes That Told Me Yes, published in 2017.
