This piece is made up of scraps cut from a few of my "abandoned" paintings. I pulled the cat, the bird, and the ear out of my scrap box and hoped there might be a story to be told. I thought maybe the cat could be an artist wearing a beret, but the moment I put the ear in place the story became clear. What else could this be, but Van Gogh's cat (and ear of course)?
